The past couple of weeks I’ve just been traveling domestically, and I’ve even spent the past week in Florida visiting my family, which has been nice. I’ll be back to international travel starting next week, which I’m very much looking forward to, after being on the ground for a while.
On the points and travel front, this week we saw a great new sign-up bonus on the Ink Cash Card, Air New Zealand announced that they’re adding flights to Chicago, Singapore Airlines revealed their new 787-10 business class, and much more.
With that out of the way, here’s a recap of this week on the blog:
I was so excited about this flight. Emirates and Singapore both introduced new first class products just weeks apart, and having flown Emirates’ new first class weeks prior, I was looking forward to seeing how Singapore’s new Suites compared. I’ve reviewed Singapore’s “old” Suites before, and couldn’t wait to see how the product evolved.
Singapore’s A380 Suites cabin is gorgeous. My first thought was that it looked very similar to Etihad’s A380 First Class Apartments, since there’s just a single aisle in the cabin. However, this layout was even more spacious. Singapore Airlines has just six Suites, while Etihad has nine First Class Apartments plus The Residence in the same area. The pictures don’t really do justice to how beautiful the cabin is when you first see it.
This week Chase launched a new sign-up bonus on the Ink Business Cash℠ Credit Card, which is by far the biggest sign-up bonus that has ever been offered on the card. The Ink Business Cash has a sign-up bonus of $500 cash back (which can potentially be converted into 50,000 Ultimate Rewards points) after spending $3,000 within three months. This is a massive sign-up bonus for a no annual fee card.
Earlier I wrote a post sharing seven reasons (other than the sign-up bonus) that you should consider applying for the card. One question I’ve been asked a few times since then is whether it makes more sense to apply for the Ink Business Cash℠ Credit Card or Ink Business Preferred℠ Credit Card. Let’s take a closer look at that question.
Hilton Honors has made some significant program changes the past couple of years, and for the most part they’ve been positive.
In 2017 Hilton Honors made some radical changes, adding new Points & Cash redemptions, introducing points pooling, giving members more ways to redeem their points, and even giving Diamond members the chance to extend their status by a year. I tend to think these changes were positive, especially for those who just occasionally stay at Hilton properties.
