Great Deal: Wyndham Is Offering A Free Night After Just Two Stays

Wyndham Rewards overhauled their program in 2015 in a way that I really like. They charge a flat 15,000 points per night for an award stay, regardless of what hotel you’re redeeming for. So whether you’re looking at their cheapest or most expensive hotel, a free night will cost the same number of points. Now, if only they had more aspirational properties.

Wyndham Rewards points can be tough to come by, though the good news is that lately we’ve seen them offer quite a few promotions. For example, a couple of months ago they announced a promotion in conjunction with Visa Checkout, where you could earn 15,000 bonus points after just three stays, which is enough for a free night.

Wyndham Rewards has just announced an even better and more straightforward promotion, which they’re calling their “biggest offer ever.” Wyndham Rewards is offering 15,000 bonus points after completing just two stays by July 1, 2018.

15,000 points is enough for a free night at virtually any of the 8,000+ Wyndham Rewards properties around the world. Registration is required prior to the qualifying stay, and all eligible stays need to be completed by July 1, 2018.

Each member can only earn this bonus once, and it can be combined with all other Wyndham promotions, so that you can earn even more points. Bonus points should post to accounts within two to four weeks of completion of the second eligible stay.

It goes without saying that this is a heck of a deal. Wyndham has many budget properties, so they have plenty of sub-$70 per night hotels. Then you could redeem those points at a hotel that would cost $200+ per night. The catch is that Wyndham doesn’t have that many aspirational properties, though that doesn’t mean this deal isn’t worth taking advantage of.

While this promotion is only valid for the first two stays, I’d say this is the most generous hotel promotion we’ve seen in a while.

Do you plan on taking advantage of Wyndham’s “Stay Twice Earn A Free Night” promotion?

  1. Thanks for the info, I just signed up for this promotion. I am a budget traveler and have already booked a few Wyndham Rewards budget properties for my upcoming trip to the US.
I don’t need those truly aspirational properties I love to read about on your blog.
Instead, I consider it already something aspirational when I stay at any of those Wyndham hotels 😉
So I am earning points staying at Days Inn and Co and redeem at Wyndhams etc.
Sometimes I also stay at some simpler properties of Hilton, Starwood, Marriott and Co … and fantasize about the kinds of St. Regis and Co 😉

  2. Interesting. I’ve never stayed at a Wyndham, but they just bought AmericInn, and as of March 4, they are rolling those properties into Wyndham Rewards.

While AmericInn is not my preferred brand, it’s the only decent one available in one of my vendor’s towns.

  3. I have a short overnight stay in between flights at JFK and there’s a $115 Howard Johnson that will work. It’s awesome they have free cancellation until the night before.

  4. After my parents’ most unfortunate stay at the Wyndham Garden Detroit Airport, and their experiences are the norm for that property per TripAdvisor and others and have been for many years, it’s going to be a rather desperate situation before I book a Wyndham.
