Now Live: Score Up To 1,500 Marriott Rewards Points During The Super Bowl

Throughout the NFL season, Marriott Rewards has been offering lots of opportunities to earn bonus Marriott Rewards points. Specifically, every Sunday during the regular season you could earn 1,000 Marriott Rewards points for answering a simple question on Twitter. I value Marriott Rewards points at ~0.8 cents each, so that’s like $8 of value for a few seconds of work. I’ll take it!

They were originally only going to run this promotion during the regular season, though it looks like they’ve brought it back during the Super Bowl, by popular demand.

In order to take advantage of this, you’ll need to link your Marriott Rewards account to your social media accounts here. You can earn up to 1,000 bonus Marriott Rewards points just for doing that — you get 750 Marriott Rewards points for connecting your Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, and 250 bonus points for following Marriott Rewards on Twitter and Instagram.

They did things slightly differently today. Rather than asking a single question and offering 1,000 points, they’re asking three questions, and you can earn 500 bonus points for each correct answer, for a total of up to 1,500 points. You’ll need to respond to Marriott on Twitter by 6AM EST tomorrow morning, Monday, February 5, 2018, to be eligible.

All three questions have now been posted, so let’s have a look at them.

The first question is as follows:

What’s the highest number of points scored by any team in the first quarter of a Super Bowl? Answer with #RewardsPoints by 6am EST on 2/5 and score 500 points if you get it right.

The answer is 14, so just make sure your accounts are linked, and that you Tweet something like the following at the @MarriottRewards Twitter account:

14 #RewardsPoints

The second question is as follows:

In what year did Minneapolis last host a Super Bowl? Answer with #RewardsPoints by 6am EST on 2/5 and score 500 points if you get it right.

The answer is 1992, so you’ll want to Tweet something like this:

1992 #RewardsPoints

The third question is as follows:

How many Super Bowl games have gone into overtime? Answer with #RewardsPoints by 6am EST on 2/5 and score 500 points if you get it right.

The answer is 1, so you’ll want to Tweet something like this:

1 #RewardsPoints

This is an easy 1,500 Marriott Rewards points, which can be converted into 500 Starpoints.

  1. Hey Lucky, thanks for the heads up! FYI, in the second answer post you have the answer to the first question in your text: “The answer is 14, so you’ll want to Tweet something like this:” 14 should be replaced with “1992”. Thanks again!

  2. Wait, so did Minneapolis last host a super bowl in 14 AD or 14 BC? Sorry for the dumb question, I really don’t know much about football.

  3. What happens if you’re not on all 3. I am not on Facebook. That is for elderly people, ha ha, joking. Seriously, I am on Instagram and Twitter only.

  4. Lucky, you’re a great spokesman for Marriott. Before I avoided Marriotts because I had no status, no points, and stayed at a competing hotel chain. Now that I have 1,500 points coming, that is a jumpstart to start staying there.

  5. “The answer is 14, so you’ll want to Tweet something like this:

    1992 #RewardsPoints”

Just adding this so people will get what the first comments were about. Lucky’s typo.
