Earn 1,000 Free Marriott Rewards Points

Marriott Rewards has been giving away free points for the entire football season through social media. In order to take advantage of this, you’ll need to link your Marriott Rewards account to your social media accounts here. You can earn up to 1,000 bonus Marriott Rewards points just for doing that — you get 750 Marriott Rewards points for connecting your Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, and 250 bonus points for following Marriott Rewards on Twitter and Instagram.

Once your accounts are connected, you can earn bonus points every Sunday during the football season. Today you can earn bonus points for answering the following:

How wide is an @NFL football field, in feet? Answer with #RewardsPoints before 8pm EST on 12/3 and score 1,000 points if you get it right.

The answer is 160 feet, so just make sure your accounts are linked, and that you Tweet something like the following at the @MarriottRewards Twitter account:

160 feet #RewardsPoints

If you do this correctly, you’ll get a response from @MarriottRewards saying the following:

You got it! Your points will post in 24 hours. Come back next week for another chance to score.

It could take a couple of hours to receive that message, and then the points should post shortly after that.

I value Marriott Rewards points at ~0.8 cents each, so that’s $8 worth of points just for a few seconds worth of work, which is an absolute no brainer. You can also convert Marriott Rewards points into Starpoints at a 3:1 ratio, so this is also the equivalent of ~333 Starpoints.

Be sure you take advantage of this before 8PM EST tonight!

  1. Lucky what’s your commission that you push this link every week? it’s almost like spamming when you push it so many times, it’s a one thing to post it once or twice but you already re-posted it at least a half dozen times and it’s becoming pathetic.

  2. Quinten: you can, of course, create burner Twitter accounts for such reasons.

If you’re worried that Marriott has any furtehr information than that, you wouldn’t be a member of their rewards program.

  3. @Vet&Banker – agree. One should have different twitter accounts for different purposes.

I finally linked the twitter to Marriott Reward. Just got an email on the connection and 250 pts already in the Marriott account. I did the reply right after making the connection and the Marriott email came much later AFTER I did the reply for the promotion. So I replied again, just in case the previous reply would not count because the twitter accounts may not considered linked yet.

Where do I see the reply? In my Twitter account?

  4. @nonamelive

I understand the delayed reply part. I just dont know WHERE in my twitter account I could see the reply is generated – is it under Notification?

Sorry for the question as the last time I used twitter was in 2014 or 2015 as a last resort to resolve some issues with a bank.

  5. Lucky I don’t understand how you always know the answers to these obscure NFL questions every week. You must be a true lover of the game.

  6. @Vet&Banker
Thanks a lot for the reply. I saw it in the Notification now. Also the points in the Marriott account.
Now need to learn how to delete the tweets…

  7. I didn’t get the points or notification for this weekend after I tweeted the exact words that Ben used. Did anyone else fail to get their points also?
