IHG Rewards Club Fall 2017 PointBreaks List Preview

In the interest of full disclosure, One Mile At A Time earns a referral bonus for anyone that’s approved through some of the below links. IHG Rewards Club’s PointBreaks is traditionally one of the best promotions in the hotel industry. Through this promotion, select hotels are available for just 5,000 points per night. Since IHG Rewards Club points can be purchased for as little as ~0.6 cents per point, that’s like booking stays at certain hotels for an incredible $30 per night.

I’ve just been informed that IHG Rewards Club will be releasing the full list of new PointBreaks hotels tomorrow (Friday, July 28) at 12PM EST. At that point the new PointBreaks list will be visible here (the link doesn’t show the updated list yet, but rather still shows the first quarter list) which will be valid for bookings and stays between July 31 and October 31, 2017 (though the better hotels tend to sell out pretty quickly).

They’ve provided a sampling of some of the more than 100 hotels that will be on the list, including the following:

Well, at least there’s going to be one InterContinental on the list, which is more than we can say about the last PointBreaks promotion.

The InterContinental Bandung Dago Pakar, will be on the next PointBreaks list

If you have the IHG® Rewards Club Select Credit Card you get a 10% refund on points redemptions, for a refund of up to 100,000 points per year. That lowers the cost per award night for those with the card to 4,500 points, which is even better. If you don’t yet have the card, it has an increased sign-up bonus at the moment, and applying for it should be a no brainer for most. The card offers IHG Rewards Club Platinum status for as long as you have the card, plus an anniversary free night certificate, valid at virtually any IHG property in the world.

I’ll be sure to share the full list tomorrow.

  1. Croydon is only 15min from Victoria/London Bridge on a very frequent train and 15mins from Gatwick airport, so isn’t a bad option for an economy London trip!
