Buy A Discounted Omni Hotel Stay Through Daily Getaways

Daily Getaways is back this year, which is a five week program intended to promote US tourism. It offers opportunities to purchase discounted hotel points and travel packages.

I’ve shared my initial thoughts on the packages for sale, including the offers for weeks one and two, and also the offers for weeks three through five. Daily Getaways packages go on sale at 1PM ET every weekday, and the more popular packages sell out very quickly, so you’ll want to be fast, if interested.

Today at 1PM ET you’ll have the opportunity to purchase Omni Hotels & Resorts packages at a discount.

Like most Daily Getaways packages, this one won’t be for everyone, though I do think there’s value to be had. If you take advantage of this offer, you can spend 1-2 nights at select Omni Hotels & Resorts. The certificates expire on December 30, 2017, and are valid for double occupancy. They come in the form of e-certificates, so will be emailed to you within days of successfully buying one of these packages. The costs and eligible hotels are as follows:

Omni San Francisco

Omni Austin

Omni Charlottesville

Bottom line

This isn’t for everyone, though if you’re considering a stay at an Omni property, the savings here can be significant. For example, the Omni New York City is consistently more than $235 per night, especially when you factor in the taxes and fees you’d usually pay. Similar savings are available at other properties as well. Just remember that the certificates expire at the end of the year, so these aren’t certificates that you’ll want to buy without a use in mind.

Do you plan on buying these Omni certificates through Daily Getaways? Which property are you eying?

  1. Didn’t need the reminder because i have my alarm scheduled lol but this is the best deal for me.
Have a wedding in charlottesville and the rates are ridiculous. The omni is $330! per night, so I will literally save $500 for 2 nights iI i’m able to get this.

  2. So these can be used over any day (pending abaiilabilty, I presume) anytime until the end of the year? It’s certainly less “speculative” than booking, say, an SPG Hot Escape in that case.

  3. How do you find the blackout dates? I can’t see anything on the site other than that they “vary by location.” I have a trip in August to Chicago and this would be perfect for that, but I want to make sure the blackout dates aren’t the weekend I’m going!

  4. You can presume the blackout days are over holiday weekends or special events. I’m not sure why the rates are so high during my weekend in Charlottesville (literally nothing is going on) so I’m hoping blackout dates aren’t determined by the rates. Otherwise I’m taking a vacation to another property sometime lol.

  5. I got the 2 Night Weekend Escape at Select Omni Hotels for $245.

One of the hotels is in Atlanta and I will most likely have to go there one weekend.

However, if Atlanta does not work out, I have never seen New Orleans and will make a field trip there.

  6. Ugh my weekend in charlottesville was blacked out.
Will use it elsewhere. Generally $80/night at a hotel is a steal anywhere so I’ll put it to some use. Was hoping to save 60,000 IHG points but oh well.
