Club Carlson’s New Promo Offers Up To 100,000 Bonus Points

Club Carlson has just announced their first major promo of 2017, called Earn Bigger Rewards. The promotion is valid for stays between January 9 and March 31, 2017.

Club Carlson generally has pretty generous promotions for hotel stays, though this time around you’re having to make some difficult decisions before your first stay. Specifically, you can register to earn one of the following bonuses:

  • Stay 1 night, earn 5,000 bonus Gold Points
  • Stay 2 nights, earn 10,000 bonus Gold Points
  • Stay 4 nights, earn 20,000 bonus Gold Points
  • Stay 8 nights, earn 50,000 bonus Gold Points
  • Stay 20 or more nights, earn 100,000 bonus Gold Points

The catch is that you can only register for one bonus, and you have to decide which bonus you want to register for before your first eligible stay. So if you know you’ll only make one stay, you’ll want to register for the promotion offering 5,000 bonus points. Meanwhile if you register for the promotion offering 20,000 bonus points but only stay three nights during the promotion period, you wouldn’t earn anything.

The best return you’ll get per night is with the “stay 8, earn 50,000 bonus points” category, as that’s the equivalent of 6,250 bonus Gold Points per night. Of course I’d choose which offer to register for based on your conservative estimate of how many stays you’ll need to make during the period, rather than based on what offers the highest incremental return.

Bonus points should be credited to eligible accounts the same time the normal points post, once you complete the offer for which you registered. Registration is required prior to your first eligible stay, and award nights (including Points+Cash rates) aren’t eligible towards this promotion.

This is a pretty solid offer, especially when you consider that the bonus points don’t include the 20 points per dollar you usually earn for Club Carlson spend, plus the elite bonuses (35% for Gold members, for example), plus the points you earn through credit card spend.

Will you be taking advantage of the Club Carlson Earn Bigger Rewards offer?

  1. I have been trying to sign up for a Club Carlson account, but their website is weird. I get a message saying my email address is already registered and to supply my email address for instructions to change my password. I have tried 7 or 8 times, but no email from Carlson. I also made several reservations at Radisson hotels in the Baltic countries for May 2017, but have not received any confirmation emails. Weird.

  2. Club Carlson is weird. I have experienced them cheating with their Best Rate Guarantee. So I avoid staying in any Club Carlson hotel.

  3. @Jerry — it sounds like your email provider is blocking the Carlson Rezidor emails. This may sound like a no brainer, but have you checked your spam, junk, or clutter folders? If the emails are not there, we may want to try signing you up with another email address. Please reach out to for help–we’d like to ensure you’re signed up! -Club Carlson team
