Earn 5,000 Bonus Aeroplan Miles For Your Next Club Carlson Stay

A few days ago Club Carlson announced their latest global promotion, offering double points or double elite night credits through the end of the year.

Club Carlson members ordinarily earn 20 points per dollar spent, so through this promotion they can earn 40 points per dollar spent. If you have Gold status you earn a 35% bonus on base points, meaning many of us are earning 47 points per dollar spent, which is quite good.

There’s another promotion being offered by Club Carlson that could make your next stay especially rewarding. Through their “Take Off With More Miles” promotion, Club Carlson is offering 5,000 bonus Aeroplan miles for your next stay at an eligible property in the United States or Canada between November 1 and December 31, 2016.

This promotion is eligible for stays at Radisson Blu, Radisson, Park Inn, and Country Inn & Suites stays. Registration with your Aeroplan number is required, and you can still earn points as usual for your stay.

That means you can earn 40+ Gold Points per dollar spent, plus an additional 5,000 miles after your next eligible stay.

Per the terms of the promotion, bonus miles should post 4-6 weeks after the promotion ends, though in practice are likely to post faster. You can only earn this bonus once per account during the promotion period. Only rates eligible to earn Gold Points qualify for the promotion, so reward nights of any sort aren’t eligible.

Club Carlson has a ton of cheap properties in the US, so if you can earn 5,000 bonus miles plus 40+ Club Carlson Gold Points per dollar spent, you could very well come out ahead on your next Club Carlson stay.

Earn 5,000 bonus Aeroplan miles for a stay at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel Chicago

While Club Carlson’s current global promotion isn’t really enough to get me to switch any stays to them, 5,000 bonus Aeroplan miles for my next stay may very well be.

Do you plan on taking advantage of Club Carlson’s Aeroplan promotion?

  1. I value 5000 Aeroplan miles at about $75, and the lets say 3000-6000 Club Carlson points at about $20. So it makes me tempted but can’t find any properties at $75 per night to make it worthwhile for the $20 trouble to check in and check out plus driving time plus etc etc.

Now if there was a decent Club Carlson property that I would actually like to stay at I would be tempted to change my stay to CC. Besides the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel Chicago, is there any other nice US/Canada CC hotels?
