The US Open will kick off later this month in New York, and is one of the most popular tennis events in the world. I’ve attended the US Open for the past several years thanks to Starwood. However, they’re not the only ones offering cool opportunities for customers at the US Open.
Specifically, there’s a Chase Lounge at the US Open, which is available to all Chase customers. There’s no cost for customers to visit the Chase Lounge, though you do need tickets to the US Open, and also need to register in advance. This is the same offering Chase had last year.
The registration process is interesting. Rather than having to enter your card number, you instead just have to enter the customer service phone number on the back of your credit card. So it seems they’re not actually identifying you as an individual customer.
Once you agree to their terms & conditions, you’ll be given the option to select the sessions for which you want access to the Chase Lounge. There are 19 available sessions, and each Chase customer can reserve up to four sets of sessions, each for one individual (this means you can bring four people to one session, two people to two sessions, one person to four sessions, etc.).

The booking process is extremely easy, and should just take a couple of minutes.
Since I’m headed back to the US Open this year, I went ahead and reserved a spot at the Chase Lounge for the date I’m there. It’s certainly nice to have access to an air conditioned room with drinks, snacks, etc.
Here are the full terms of access for the Chase Lounge at the US Open:
- Only Chase customers can access the reservation system.
- Tickets to the US Open are required for the session in which a reservation is made; a Chase Lounge reservation only provides access to the Chase Lounge once already at the US Open.
- In order to allow access to the Chase Lounge to as many customers as possible, each customer can make a maximum of 4 reservations. Each reservation is for one individual.
- Reservations can be for the same session, or split across multiple sessions.
- Reservations can be made for the customer and up to three guests. All members of the party must have a ticket. Reservations are non-transferable.
- Changes and cancellations can be made to the reservations prior to the start of the session.
- Reservations are taken on a first come, first served basis until all reservations have been filled. Customers can be added to the waitlist for a session that is already filled. Customers on the waitlist can provide their mobile number and receive a text message if a reservation opens up in advance of the tournament or day of.
- Once the reservation process is complete, a confirmation will appear on the screen. Please print or take a screen shot of this confirmation to facilitate check-in. Customers can check in without the confirmation using the name and/or email address on the reservation and matching photo ID.
- The Chase Lounge check in kiosk is located at the entrance to the Chase Center or at the Chase booth. The Chase booth is located adjacent to the food court.
- A valid photo ID is required at check-in to receive a wristband.
- The US Open schedule of play as well as session dates, number of matches and starting times are subject to change. Chase Lounge hours are subject to change when sessions are changed or cancelled by the USTA.

This is a very nice offering, so if you’re attending the US Open this year you might as well register to visit the Chase Lounge. As fun as the US Open is, air conditioned spaces are in short supply and drinks can be outrageously priced, so having access to both for free is very nice.
