Today is Amazon Prime Day, which is one of Amazon’s biggest sales of the year1. You need to be a Prime member to qualify, though the savings on many items are huge.

Perhaps the easiest promotion to take advantage of here is that Amazon is offering Prime members a $10 promotional code when purchasing a $50 Amazon gift card today.

The promotion is available today only, and only applies to the first purchase for each account. The promotional code should be emailed to you within two days:

Your first $50 gift card purchase today qualifies you for an credit. A $10 promotional code will be automatically applied to your account and emailed to you within two (2) days after shipping.

To take advantage of this promotion, simply purchase a $50 Amazon gift card and enter promotion code GCPRIME16 on the purchase page.

Like I said, this really is a no brainer if you’re a Prime member, given the great prices that Amazon has, and the fact that they sell gift cards for all kinds of retailers, including several airlines and hotel brands.

Happy shopping!

  1. If you have the Discover It card… you also get 5% back on all Amazon purchases this quarter. Or, 10% depending on when you signed up for the card. Good day to shop with Discover!

  2. great deal it is but Amazon gift card balances are not valid for gift cards towards your writeup of “and the fact that they sell gift cards for all kinds of retailers, including several airlines and hotel brands.”

  3. We’re sorry, we weren’t able to save your gift card or promotional code information. Please enter it again or try using another form of payment

  4. Tried using it and got message that it was expired. Spoke to CSA who stated it was only good for a few hours. Bad experience ESP after I spent more than $500 with Amazon today! If I was not so tired I would cancel all of my orders
