Weekly Review: June 27, 2015

This has been a pretty rough week for me, as I haven’t been feeling well the past couple of weeks, and finally ended up going to the emergency room and then doctor this week. The good news is that I feel a bit better. The bad news is that the doctors still haven’t been able to figure out what’s wrong… so we’ll see! But I guess my lesson is that at some point it’s probably time to slow down and settle down… or something like that.

In the meantime, I’ll be spending much of the weekend trying to rest up a bit, as apparently exhaustion may be playing a part in my “condition.”

Thanks to everyone for their kind words.

Review: AmEx Centurion Lounge Miami Airport MIA

AmEx-Centurion-Lounge-Miami-Airport-14

I finally had the chance to check out the new American Express Centurion Lounge in Miami, which only opened a few weeks ago. I love the Centurion Lounges in general, and think they’re a brilliant move on AmEx’s part, but the execution of the Miami lounge leaves a bit to be desired.

SkyMiles continue to be an extremely valuable currency for travel to many of the world’s toughest destinations to get to on miles, so picking up an easy bonus seems like a no-brainer.

Hey Lucky! I hope you are feeling better!!! I have a quick question... What are Expedia points? Are they worth it to book travel through that website? And are they worth a lot in terms of it doesn't take hundreds of trips to take one trip to see family in the middle of no-where? Thanks!

I think that this could be related to switching timezones so frequently... But I'm not a doctor ...

Rest up and get better, best wishes.

Not eating at a consistent time due to traveling and jet lag has really damaged my stomach. Big breakfast buffets too.

Where in the country/world are you? Maybe you could crowdsource doctor recommendations? I assume you have readers in most major cities!

@ Victoria -- Hahah, thanks! :) Fortunately was able to see my GP, and he has referred me onwards. :)

Get well soon! I don't do 400k miles per year. I do about 200k per year, which is still more than the average traveller. Been doing it for over 15 years.
