1,000 Free Club Carlson Gold Points For Going Paperless

In celebration of Earth Day, Club Carlson has a targeted promotion for 1,000 free Gold Points for members that enroll in paperless statements by April 28, 2015.

We’re all about giving you choices, and now you can choose a digital membership card rather than receiving printed materials. To celebrate Earth Day, we’re offering you 1,000 bonus Gold Points® if you choose to go paperless by April 28. It’s easy to access your member card on our mobile app, Google Wallet or Passbook, and you don’t need a plastic card to enjoy all your Elite member benefits.

Enrollment was simple — after logging in to my Club Carlson account there was a large banner prompting me to “Opt Out” of printed materials:

Once I clicked on the red button, I received a second message confirming my participation in the paperless program:

For what it’s worth this is a targeted promotion, though it does seem to be pretty widely targeted. Here are the full terms of the promotion:

* The Go Paperless promotion (“Promotion”) is valid for 1,000 bonus Gold Points® (“Bonus Award from April 22 through 28, 2015. Promotion is available exclusively for the Club CarlsonSM member number associated with the email address to which the Promotion invitation email was sent, is non-transferrable and may not be resold, auctioned or bartered. To earn your Bonus Award, click the Go Paperless button to be redirected to your My Account screen on clubcarlson.com and select Opt Out of receiving printed member cards and program materials. One Bonus Award per Club Carlson member. We will credit your account with the Bonus Award within 4-6 weeks.

Be sure to check your email to see if you qualify as well.

Props to Club Carlson for encouraging paperless statements. I spend about four hours going through the mail every time I visit my parents, so this is a no-brainer for me.

  1. Many already got their $75 fee refunded/credited & 25k points after filing CFPB complaint on line for removing the advertised bonus award night benefit for paying $75 AF.

  2. Does this only apply to Club Carlson credit card holders? or to any Club Carlson account (non-Club Carlson) member?

  3. I mean, does the 1000 promotion apply to Club Carlson members who do not have the Club Carlson branded credit card?

  4. @ Dan — It’s targeted, so I’m not sure who’s eligible, but you would have received an email if you were.

  5. @ Dan:

How to file a CFPB complaint? I am trying to get my AF waived….and what did you say to the customer service rep to get the AF waived? thanks in advance!
