15,000 Bonus United Or Aeroplan Miles For Transatlantic Flights

United and Air Canada have just announced a winter promotion whereby you can earn 7,500 bonus miles for each transatlantic round-trip, with a maximum of 15,000 bonus miles.

United MileagePlus members must register using promotion code TB9M80 prior to travel. Air Canada Aeroplan members can register on this page.

Only tickets issued after December 4, 2014 and before March 10th, 2015 will qualify, so if you have previously purchased tickets they won’t count towards this promotion.

Eligible flights are those between the US or Canada on the following routes:United-TATL-Promo AC-TATL-Promo

The full terms for the United promotion can be found here. And the Aeroplan terms are on this page.

This isn’t a spectacular promotion, and I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way here, but if you’re already planning revenue travel to Europe it certainly makes sense to register!

  1. This came out about a week ago. Barely worth registering for.

    On United, offer is valid on paid published fares flown in United Global First (F, A), United BusinessFirst (J, C, D, Z, P) and United Economy (Y, B, M, E, U, H, Q, V, W). On Air Canada, offer is valid on paid published fares flown in Business (J, C, D, Z, P) and Economy (O, E, N, Y, B, M, U, H, Q, V, W)

  2. Hmm. Be interesting to see how many promotions United runs and ideas they come up with to actually improve their frequent flyer program once competition in the US comes back and they continue to see more competitors emerge flying internationally. Heck even Lufthansa and Turkish are planing a low cost carrier to the US and other countries.

Frequent Flyers have long memories and many of us have no problem with the a la cart options offered by United’s competitors.

  3. @ Miro — It’s not entirely clear to me based on the terms. I’d suggest calling Aeroplan or MileagePlus to inquire.
