Up To 40% Off Virgin America Flights Through 9AM PT Today

I’ll make this post quick, since you have less than two hours to take advantage of this offer. As a Cyber Monday deal, Virgin America is offering up to 40% off tickets booked by 9AM PT today.

The promotion is valid for flights between January 21 and February 25, 2014. Simply use promotion code FOMO40 at the time of booking.

The discount varies based on the day of the week you fly. Travel on Mondays and Thursdays nets a 20% discount, while travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays nets a 40% discount.

The full terms are as follows:

If travel is changed or cancelled, promo code discount will become invalid.  Any remaining balance will be placed in a guest’s travel bank, good for travel on Virgin America for one year from date of issue. Guests who no-show without a change or cancellation prior to the scheduled departure time will forfeit the amount of this fare. In addition, any future flights booked in the same reservation will also be canceled and the fare will be forfeited. Any added cost associated with purchasing tickets from Virgin America through our reservation call center will be non-refundable. Fares will not be honored retroactively or in exchange for any wholly or partially used ticket. 1. At 8:58AM PT this is likely moot, but it’s worth mentioning that for the last half hour the Virgin America website has been utterly unable to price any ticket — everything prices out at zero and you can’t complete a transaction. Even if it were, I don’t think the savings are real: a Kayak search on the 40% off dates from LAX-WAS, for instance, revealed that the “non-sale” price of the ticket on VX was $345, so the discount would mean you’d pay $207, if you get it. Except guess what the non-gimmick fare is on Alaska, nonstop? $197.
