Hyatt has a new mobile app, and they want you to use it.
Hyatt is offering 1,000 Gold Passport bonus points for each eligible booking you make through their mobile app between October 1 and December 31, 2014.
To qualify, the reservation has to be made and actual stay has to occur between October 1, 2014, and December 31, 2014. All Hyatt hotels qualify, though their partner M Life properties don’t. Here are the full terms:
To earn 1,000 Hyatt Gold Passport points under this offer, you must book a new stay on an Eligible Rate through the Hyatt App or the Hyatt Mobile Site. Both reservation and stay must be made and completed from October 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014 at any Hyatt hotel, excluding M life resorts. Eligible Rate is defined in the Hyatt Gold Passport terms and conditions. All hotel reservations are subject to availability and must be made in advance.
Hyatt Gold Passport membership at time of stay is required and members must provide their membership number and be a registered guest of the room. Membership is free and enrollment is available at goldpassport.com or at a participating hotel. Only one 1,000 point bonus may be earned per member, per stay, regardless of how many rooms are booked. This offer is subject to the complete terms and conditions of Hyatt Gold Passport. Please allow 2-3 weeks after stay is completed for points to be credited to account.
As a reminder, “eligible rates” include all paid rates booked through Hyatt’s website. The terms define “eligible rate” as follows:
An “Eligible Rate” shall be defined as any hotel published room rate, including, but not limited to rates found on hyatt.com, the Hyatt Daily Rate, Volume Account Rates, AAA and Senior Citizen rates and Points + Cash awards.
In theory Points + Cash bookings qualify as well, though they’re not bookable through the website, so it’s a moot point in this case. Free night awards don’t qualify.
There’s no limit to the number of bonus points you can earn through this promotion, though you only earn 1,000 bonus points once per stay (so you wouldn’t earn 1,000 bonus points per night if you book back-to-back stays at the same hotel).
As a reminder, if you don’t have a smart phone (or just don’t want to use the app) you can use an emulator on your computer to mimic the mobile site.
Between this bonus and the 50,000 point promotion I’ve been targeted for, this is turning out to be quite a rewarding fall with Hyatt for me!
