Accor Hotels 40% Off Sale

Accor is running one of their most lucrative hotel sales at the moment, whereby they’re offering 30% off plus free breakfast at over 2,200 hotels worldwide (here’s the list of hotels that are participating). If you’re a member of their loyalty program (it’s free to join so there’s no reason you shouldn’t be), Le Club Accor, that discount is increased to 40%.

The sale is valid for bookings made through June 27, 2014, and for stays between July 11 and August 31, 2014. In some regions the promotion is being extended even further, as follows:

  • Germany and Austria : 11 July 2014 – 7 September 2014
  • United Kingdom and Ireland: 11 July 2014 – 22 February 2015
  • Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands: 11 July 2014 – 30 September 2014

To take advantage of the member only pricing, you simply have to enter your loyalty program account number at the time you search availability.

This is a pretty solid promotion in that they’re actually taking 40% off the lowest flexible rate. The catch is that bookings made through this promotion are prepaid and non-refundable.

Accor is a really diverse hotel collection, and has everything from Sofitel to Ibis. This promotion can be an especially good deal if you’re just looking for a clean and comfortable hotel room in Europe, where they have a huge footprint.

Through this offer you can snag a deal like 35EUR for a decent hotel in a major European city. For example, there’s an Ibis in Vienna for 35EUR per night through this promotion.

Or you can use this promotion to get a better deal on a luxury hotel, like the Sofitel Vienna.

Between the reduced rate and free breakfast, this is definitely worth considering.

For what it’s worth, Accor seems to run a similar promotion about four times per year, so this isn’t the first or last time we’ll see it. But it is over the busy summer travel period…

(Tip of the hat to Mac)

  1. I wouldn’t get too excited. I checked the “30% off sale price” of the Accor I booked a while ago in Spain, and the “30% off” price is the same as what I paid without a sale, and yes, breakfast was included in my price too.

  2. In France, the “30% Off” sale is in most cases simply the price of a “prepaid room” vs the same more expensive flexible price room that you can cancel – i.e. no actual “sale” whatsoever. Borderline bait & switch advertising.

  3. Vienna Sofitel is AWESOME!!!!! Highly recommended. Though now with the PH I’ll have issues staying there. BTW the Sofitel in VIE is Virtuoso, upgrade confirmed at booking.

  4. I had hopes for using this in Austria in December, but I see they are not extending that sale as late as the UK. Figures.

  5. All these sales are just a marketing game. They jack up the original price and take 40% off. Then it’s the same as everyday price. What’s the point?

  6. Though now with the PH I’ll have problems remaining there. BTW the Sofitel in VIE is Virtuoso, update verified at reservation.
