Up To $45 Credit For New Uber Users!

Uber is one of those companies that just makes life better. When public transportation in a city isn’t good, I used to get really frustrated by the lack of options and taxi “mafias,” though for the cities in which Uber operates I love them. They have Uber Black Car, which is the “standard” service and a bit more than a taxi, while they also have UberX, which is usually cheaper than a taxi.

Uber usually offers a $10 referral bonus (both for the person referring and for the person being referred), though there are some stackable bonuses at the moment that can add up to $45 of Uber credit for new members. Here’s how to take advantage of this:

1. Sign up for Uber, and you will automatically be given a $10 credit. You can sign up using my referral link or feel free to post your link below and people can sign up through there. Once you’ve signed up with a referral link you should immediately see the $10 credit in your account.

2. Once you’ve joined, click on the “Promotions” tab in your account and enter the promotion code KALEB. You should also instantly see the promotion listed in your account.

3. Go to the “Payment” page of your app, and click on the “Add Payment” button. Select “Paypal” and link your Paypal account to your Uber account, and you’ll be given a further $15 credit, which requires a ride before November 28, 2013.

That’s an easy $45 in Uber credit for new users for just a few easy steps.

(Tip of the hat to points & pixie dust)

  1. Do you know if Uber purchases show up as “travel” for the purposes of accruing Chase Ultimate Rewards points?

  2. I signed up with mcdullhk88’s link for $20 which applied properly, then applied the KALEB discount, but my balance is still just $20. So it appears those two aren’t stackable.

  3. @ClearedCustoms Unlike the referral links, KALEB does not add to the Uber Credit balance. It appears separately as a “promotion” as in the second screenshot on this page. I used it a few months ago and was able to stack the two.

@Eric Rogozienski You can add the Paypal method via the mobile app itself. The same applies for adding Google Wallet as a payment method; BTW there used to be a promotion for that too. Just make sure the app is updated – Uber just released an app update this morning to support the new Paypal feature.

  4. Actually got to the point of creating a PayPal payment option – but the fine print says that “all” subsequent payments will be made via PayPal.

Of course, you can always get the $10 credit, use PayPal for your next Uber ride, and then delete the PayPal option. Personally, I like to keep things simple!

  5. I tried the Paypal offer today. Not sure if it showed up online in the account, but it took $15 off my subsequent trip (which, indeed, cost just $15 as well – the NYC minimum). So it works!

    BTW I have a $20 referral link: https://uber.com/app/u1w6a

  6. Code CWCNZ gives $20 and also stacks with other coupons as it is an Uber Perks code!

First go to: https://www.uber.com/sign-up and enter promo code CWCNZ for $20.

And then download the app.. Click on promotions and enter any additional promo code code.. This should give combined $$ in credits.YMMV.

  7. Use promo code “yydk4” to get a free $10-30 using the uber app! Guaranteed! Great app. Great people!
