Starbucks offering FlightTrack Pro app for free this week

Starbucks has an “app of the week” every week, whereby you can pick up a code at your local Starbucks for a free download. This week they’re offering a free download of FlightTrack Pro, which usually costs $9.99 to download.

So if you’re interested just go to your local Starbucks this week and pick up a FlightTrack Pro download card. Unfortunately they’re only available in the US and valid for Apple mobile devices and not Androids.

(Tip of the hat to Eric)

  1. Could someone upload the code? I have an US iTunes account, but Im not currently there.

  2. @ josh a @ Oscar — I’ll be back in the US tomorrow and would be happy to share some codes.

  3. Don’t get your hopes up too high, people. I bought the app and in my opinion it’s not worth the $9.99 (I would even doubt it being worth the money if it were 0.99). The only thing it does, is track flights and it does a horrible job at it.

My fiancée is from Venezuela and travels a lot from Caracas to Amsterdam, using Lufthansa, Air Europa and (when it was still possible) Iberia. Even when I set the flight for notifications, it’s horribly slow. I’ve had notifications that the plane left from Frankfurt when I already saw it arrived at the gate being at AMS. Or worse: no notification whatsoever during the 10 hours between FRA and CCS. Same thing for MAD, by the way. Other example: I flew from Munich to Dusseldorf. When I walked to my car in Dusseldorf, it told me my flight left from Munich.

Sometimes it works like a charm. At the time I bought it (I guess that was about 2-3 years ago) it worked great. But nowadays… get a better app.

Don’t know if it’s any better in the US, though.

  4. Extra codes for those who can’t get to a Starbucks (please post when used to help others out)

thanks and have a good one!

  5. My nearest Starbucks didn’t have the code, woman behind me said she got it last week. Kathy K, I’m headed over to your blog 🙂

  6. If You or anyone has a code, I’d greatly appreciate it. We won’t be back in the states for over a month.
