Unfortunate Hyatt Visa free night renewal mailer

Reader Nathan sent me a picture of the mailer he just received from Hyatt confirming his annual free night from the Chase Hyatt Visa card.

What’s unfortunate is that the property prominently displayed on the inside of the mailer is the Hyatt Regency Curacao.

If you’ve been to the front page of hyatt.com anytime this year you’ll have noticed the big “BREAKING NEWS” banner at the top, saying to call Hyatt if you have a reservation at this property, given that they terminated Hyatt’s management contract of this property overnight.

So yeah, Hyatt might want to look into changing the property on the mailer, as that’s the one place Hyatt can’t welcome you back…

  1. Southwest had a similar flyer. I qualified for “A” Status this past year and got my reward packet. On front cover was a picture of the Maroon Bells Aspen, CO. They dont fly to Aspen only Denver. 🙂

  2. Hi, i’m pretty new to this blog. I’m just totally confused. “Ben” and “lucky” are the same person?

Is he the only one that writes blogs on onemileatatime?

  3. Last year, Hilton used photos of the former Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort in much of its HHonors advertising materials. The property was re-branded an Omni shortly thereafter.
