1,500 American AAdvantage miles per Hyatt stay through January 15

Through January 15 Hyatt is offering triple American miles per Hyatt stay, for a total of 1,500 AAdvantage miles per stay. The bonus can be earned a maximum of ten times. Registration is required either via this page or by calling Hyatt Gold Passport with promotion code AA001.

This offer can be combined with Hyatt’s current fourth quarter promotion which runs through November 15, offering 5,000 Gold Passport points after every three nights.

If you choose to earn miles for your stay you’re giving up Gold Passport base points and elite bonus points, though as a Diamond member you would still earn the Diamond welcome amenity points.

This definitely doesn’t make sense for a longer stay, but for a one night stay at a cheap hotel this isn’t a half bad option.

  1. So does this mean that if I have 3 hyatt nights and I opt to chose miles for my stay, I won’t get the indv points for my stays but I will still get the 5K point promo bonus?

  2. @ Lauren — That’s correct. Just keep in mind that while the 5,000 bonus points promotion is based on staying three nights, this promotion offers 1,500 miles per STAY (meaning a consecutive three night stay counts as one stay for purposes of this promotion).

  3. Can this somehow stack with the Hyatt program announced at the OneWorld MegaDO?

    I am guessing no.
