3,000 American miles for getting a Netflix membership

While it’s not that much more than the usual bonuses they offer, through May 19 American is offering 3,000 American miles to first time Netflix members as part of their “30 Deals in 30 Days” promotion. That means you can pay $7.99, keep your Netflix membership for a month, and then cancel the membership. If you haven’t already taken advantage of this offer, you can’t beat 3,000 miles (and a few movies) for $7.99.

  1. I was a Netflix member years ago so now I’m ineligible. I would have signed back up if that lame rule wasn’t in place.

  2. Pretty easy go around. Just sign up with another address, email address, and credit card. Most people stream movies anyways so physical addresses should not be a problem.

  3. @ Mark

I am not sure that would work. Two years ago I tried to get a bonus from Delta, and Netflix told me that they went by last name and address.

  4. The problem is they seem to be tracking which AAdvantage accounts have already gotten a Netflix bonus. I received AA miles from Netflix last year, so it won’t even let me get past the first page on the signup link.
