Priority Club unveils new PointBreaks list through July 30!

While most of us assumed that Priority Club had eliminated PointBreaks in lieu of their new last minute reward nights programs, it appears that this isn’t the case just yet. They have just released a new list good through July 30, 2011. Through PointBreaks, select hotels are available for 5,000 points per night, which is an absolute bargain, given that 5,000 points can be had for about $30.

I see the InterContinental Manila is on the list, which is a fairly nice hotel (I reviewed it here), along with a couple of InterContinental hotels in Egypt. There are also some decent Crowne Plazas and Holiday Inns on the list.

Here’s to hoping that this isn’t their last list…

(Tip of the hat to Gary)

  1. I plan to take advantage of this at the IC Cairo Semiramis. Certainly this is only offered at this property due to the current political situation in Egypt, but I’m going to be in Cairo in June anyway so might as well get a good deal!

  2. To Ernie: One can do a “cash & points” reservation, then cancel the reservation. Say it takes 20K points for the points reservation, the cash & points may be $60 plus 10K points. The 10K points is deducted from your account when the reservation is made. (plus $60 on your CC). When one cancels the reservation, 20K points gets put back into your account. Thus $60 bought the 10K points.

  3. Reserved the Candlewood suites in Houston for early June. 2 nights @5K pts (10K total) is very nice. On top of the free (100% discount :))LAX-IAH Eagle ticket AA offered certain (targeted) Exec Plats along with double miles made this trip very inexpensive. Not a big fan of AA Eagle but I’ll take the freebie when it comes!

Can’t wait to get some yummy BBQ. 🙂
