Priority Club’s PointBreaks list is out!

Actually, the list isn’t really worthy of an exclamation point, though Priority Club has unveiled their new PointsBreaks list. PointsBreak is the promotion whereby select Priority Club properties are available for 5,000 points per night, as opposed to the usual cost of 10,000 to 40,000 points per night. Unfortunately this list is only good for travel through February 28, which is much shorter than in the past. Sadly the list of hotels is far from exciting. There’s not a single InterContinental on the list, which is a first.

  1. No Intercon?

Just a continuing trend of hospitality companies tightening benefits on the margin. Starwood re-instituted peak/off-peak, lack of “free night” promotions (Hyatt, Starwood), stingier hotel promotions in general.

Hotels must be seeing increasing occupancy rates as the economy slowly improves.
