Big sign-up bonus for some Citi American Airlines credit cards!

Update: These offers have changed over the years. You can find the best available offers here.

Citi is offering up to 35,000 bonus miles and no annual fee for the first year on the Citi AAdvantage Visa and American Express personal cards, as well as the business Visa. You earn 30,000 bonus miles for spending $750 in the first four months you have the card, and an additional 5,000 miles if you spend $5,000 within the first year.

Unfortunately Citi AAdvantage cards can’t be churned anymore, but if you haven’t had these cards before, this is about as good of a deal as you’ll see.

(Tip of the hat to Gary)

  1. This is for a Citibank AAdvantage Visa. The T&C say ” This Citi® / AAdvantage® card offer is valid only for first-time Citi® / AAdvantage® cardmembers who apply pursuant to this offer for an account by July 31, 2010.” That certainly makes it sound as if having a Citi AAdvantage Mastercard would mean “no bonus for you!”

Does anybody have any experience to the contrary?

  2. I had the Citi personal Mastercard before, can I get the Business card to take advantage of this offer?

  3. I just received Citi AAdvantage World MC after applying online. My wife had card in her name, so I applied online and was approved.

Will attempt to get annual fee eliminated by linking to a new Citi ck acct with me as primary and get 20,000 miles also under promo C2WA.

  4. I have had a citi aadvantage bronze card since 2004. I just got my bonus miles on a new card…it’s worth a shot 🙂

  5. I just got one, my husband just got 2 (this one and a different one), and I have had an aadvantage citicard since 2004 as well, and I still got the bonus miles. I even got a bonus for signing up then too. I also get emails for bonus miles for opening up a bank account, which you only have to keep for 3 months. So, I do that once or twice a year too, but yo only get 750 miles for the bank account.
