45,000 bonus Continental OnePass miles for their credit card!

If you fulfill all the requirements by November 30, you can earn up to 45,000 Continental OnePass miles for getting their Chase Mastercard. The breakdown is as follows:

  • 25,000 bonus miles after you make your first purchase
  • 5,000 bonus miles after you make your first purchase and sign up an additional authorized user within two months after opening your account
  • 10,000 bonus miles when you spend at least $1,000 by Nov. 30, 2009

That adds up to 40,000 miles. Continental is also has their Mileathon promotion at the moment, and signing up for their credit card is an “activity” which earns you 5,000 more miles. So that’s 45,000 miles for their credit card. Add that to a couple of Chase checking accounts, and you’re almost looking at a business class award to Europe or Asia without ever stepping foot on a plane.

(Tip of the hat to Gary)

  1. … plus at least 1,000 points for the $1,000 in spend. As Gary notes, folks should sign up for Mileathon *before* applying for the card.

Even with the $85 annual fee, this is a sweet deal, especially since CO miles — unlike DL/UA/AA/US — don’t expire.

  2. Hmm. I opened up this card a little over a month ago. Wish I would have waited. I got 20k for opening the card, and another 5k for adding my wife. Already spend over 1k. Looks like I got screwed out of 15k miles. Any chance they’ll throw me the difference?
