I’d like some advice on how to proceed in my efforts to accumulate points. My goal is to get business class travel for a family of four to Europe.

So far, I have concentrated on Chase cards. Most of the time.

I have the Chase Sapphire Reserve since March 2017, and have received the 100,000 point bonus.

In April 2017, I acquired the Ink Business Preferred, and have received the 80,000 point bonus.

In July, 2017, I received the Chase Sapphire Preferred, and will begin earning the 50,000 point bonus.

In June of 2017, I received the AMEX Blue Business Plus, with its 20,000 point bonus, but it did not result in a hard credit pull.

In 2016, I acquired another Chase card with no points potential, but it does count against 5/24. 🙁

Years ago (more than three), I acquired the Chase Marriott Rewards Premier card, and the AMEX Skymiles Platinum cards.
So, again, I am seeking advice on where to go next. Given that I am seeking multiple seats to Europe, and would like to avoid fuel surcharges, I am intrigued by the possibility of adding the Chase United Mileage Plus Explorer card. I have an invite for a 70,000 point bonus and a $50 statement credit, valid through 7/31. The expanded availability offered to cardholders is appealing as well. It would round out my 5/24 activity, and I could begin focusing on some AMEX cards.

    Thoughts?

That’s a pretty solid card. You can always downgrade it in a year to the no fee version if you don’t want to pay the annual fee. Do you have other family members who can apply for cards as well?
