Why we like this card: If maximized properly I don’t think there’s a business card which offers a higher return on everyday, non-bonused spend than this. Essentially earning 1.3 Membership Rewards points per dollar is a great return, in particular if you can convert those points into “premium” Membership Rewards points in conjunction with another Amex card.

Read Our Review
Why we like this card: Southwest’s Rapid Rewards program is revenue based, so 50,000 points will get you quite a bit of credit towards travel on Southwest. While Rapid Rewards points aren’t the most aspirational currency, they are extremely practical. This sign-up bonus can be especially valuable if you’re going for Southwest Companion Pass.

  1. I need to switch to a visa card with milage and/or money back. Excellent credit. Prefer a milage card good on any airline if possible. About to make a major purchase. I have an opportunity to accumulate many miles for this purchase. Currently I have American Express. I wish to change as one of our suppliers will no longer accept American Express. I need to make this change rather quickly. Thank you.

  2. Is there a way to get the lower 40k Platinum bonus after $5k spend like what you have posted above vs the current offer that requires $15k spend? More points for the higher spend offer but that is too much spend for me.
