SE Asia/Australia to NYC using Chase UR
Hi all,
Sorry to drop two questions in a week, but I’m running into another wall! I’m looking to get back to NYC from a trip to SE Asia/Australia, ideally in a premium cabin, using roughly 100k chase UR points (possibly with a top off of Starpoints if needed), and wondering what the best options would be.
My hope was to book a saver award in Singapore Suites from SIN-FRA-JFK, but unfortunately not even waitlist space is available. It seems many on this forum see Singapore J as a big drop off from suites, so I’m curious if there are other, more worthwhile options out there for roughly 100k UR.
Thanks!

@Mark16, yes there is a big difference between J and suites but that’s because suites is a relatively unique product! I think Ben’s mentioned a few times that SQ J has seats that are about the same size as the F product of many airlines and the service is usually good too. I wouldn’t hesitate to fly SQ J if it has availability.
Have you looked into flying Korean Air via ICN? Their award chart is pretty reasonable I think and you can transfer Chase UR points to their SkyPass program. SIN-ICN-JFK during off peak dates are 95k miles one way in First. SYD-ICN-JFK on Korean Air First is 120k miles on off peak dates.
Thank you both! I had not looked at Korean Air at all. I’ll check out that option and worst case just go with J on Singapore (it’s a tough life, huh?).
