Partnership between AF/KL and PG
Hi – I noticed on the Flying Blue (AF/KL) website that Bangkok Airways (PG) is a partner for redemption of Flying Blue miles, which I would like to use, since I can transfer points from my Chase account, and get a relatively cheap award ticket. I was wondering if anyone has experience with this, as I am having problems.
According to both PG and AF/KL website, if X class is available for booking, then an award ticket should be bookable on other airlines for PG. I have access to airline availability via Sabre, so I looked into calling AF/KL and asking for flights where I saw X availability. However, they said there was no availability on those flights. I asked for HKGUSM and SINUSM for all flights the week of 9/3, as well as having them search for the entire month of September for BKKUSM, which also apparently had no availability, even though according to Sabre, PG is open to all classes on many dates.
Upon a chat with PG, they claim that AF/KL is not a partner, despite what the Flying Blue website says and that they only partner with JL. Any thoughts, comments, or advice that could be helpful here? Thanks!
