When I pay a rental car with my amex platinum which coverage do I get?

I’d contact the American Express insurance department (go through the number on the back of the card) for a full list of insurance benefits as well as car types and countries that are not covered. From past experience I think you have to sign up for the insurance benefit which is charged as a one time fee when doing a rental and paying with your AmEx card.
