Ben recently wrote about some great deals on hotels in Vancouver during the winter low season there. Well, it turns out New York’s hotels have some empty rooms in January too, and they’re offering some pretty nice discounts.
Through Hotel Week NYC, over a dozen Manhattan properties are offering substantial discounts off their regular rates.
Many hotels are offering $200 nightly rates, and a few are just $100 per night.
For the most part, they are independent or small-chain properties, though IHG’s Hotel Indigo Lower East Side is participating in the promotion. (So is the Econo Lodge Times Square, but you can probably skip that one.) The Paul Hotel, an Ascend Hotel Collection member (part of Choice Hotels), is offering rooms for only $100 per night.
Hotel Week NYC is in its seventh year, and runs from January 5-15, 2018. Weekends are included. If you’re looking for a weekend getaway and are willing to stand the chills of winter in New York, this is a great option. I’ll be booking a room for myself for sure.
One word of advice, though: check out other deals across the city as well using your favorite travel site. There are other hotels offering low rates this time of year too, and it’s possible you might even find lower rates than those published on Hotel Week’s website for the exact hotels included in the promo.
