Hours Remaining For Huge Delta Amex Sign-Up Bonuses

In the interest of full disclosure, One Mile At A Time earns a referral bonus for anyone that’s approved through some of the below links. These are the best publicly available offers that we have found for each card. Please check out our advertiser policy for further details about the partners we work with. Thanks for your support!

Since late September, American Express has been offering increased sign-up bonuses on their co-branded Delta credit cards. These increased sign-up bonus expire tomorrow, November 8, 2017, meaning you have just hours remaining to take advantage of these great deals. Typically these bonuses are pulled sometime around midday, so if you’re interested I’d recommend applying tonight or tomorrow morning.

Here are the details of these offers, which range from 60,000 to 70,000 miles upon completing minimum spend:

  • The Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express is offering 50,000 SkyMiles after spending $2,000 within three months, plus 10,000 additional SkyMiles after spending an additional $1,000 within the first six months, plus a $50 statement credit after making a Delta purchase within the first three months; the card has a $95 annual fee, which is waived for the first year
  • The Gold Delta SkyMiles® Business Credit Card from American Express is offering 50,000 SkyMiles after spending $2,000 within three months, plus 10,000 additional SkyMiles after spending an additional $1,000 within the first six months, plus a $50 statement credit after making a Delta purchase within the first three months; the card has a $95 annual fee, which is waived for the first year
  • The Platinum Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express is offering 70,000 SkyMiles plus 10,000 Medallion Qualifying Miles after spending $3,000 within three months, plus a $100 statement credit after making a Delta purchase within the first three months; the card has a $195 annual fee
  • The Platinum Delta SkyMiles® Business Credit Card from American Express are each offering 70,000 SkyMiles plus 10,000 Medallion Qualifying Miles after spending $4,000 within three months, plus a $100 statement credit after making a Delta purchase within the first three months; the card has a $195 annual fee

At a minimum these SkyMiles are worth a cent each

While you should be able to get more value out of your miles by redeeming them for international premium cabin tickets, the great thing about these sign-up bonuses is that at a minimum you’ll be able to redeem SkyMiles for a penny each towards the cost of a Delta ticket. So that means 60,000 SkyMiles will get you $600 in airfare on Delta, and 70,000 SkyMiles will get you $700 in airfare on Delta.

As I explained in a previous post, I value the sign-up bonuses on the Gold version of the card at $770, and the sign-up bonuses on the Platinum version of the card at $745. However, depending on your circumstances you can potentially get a lot more value out of them than that.

These cards are all considered separate products

All four of these cards are considered separate products. So you can earn the sign-up bonus on both the Platinum Delta SkyMiles Personal Card and the Platinum Delta SkyMiles Business Card, and similarly you can earn the sign-up bonus on both the Gold Delta SkyMiles Personal Card and the Gold Delta SkyMiles Business Card. So yes, over time you can have all four of these cards, and earn the sign-up bonuses on each of them

Do note that each of these cards has a “once in a lifetime” restriction on the welcome bonus, meaning you can only earn the bonus on each card once.

Bottom line

You have hours remaining to apply for the excellent increased sign-up bonuses on Delta American Express cards. These really are fantastic offers, even if you just want to redeem the SkyMiles for a penny each towards the cost of a Delta ticket. By picking up two of these cards you could easily earn 120,000-140,000 SkyMiles upon completing minimum spend.
