Must-See BuzzFeed Video About Three Different Airline Experiences

Must-See BuzzFeed Video About Three Different Airline Experiences

9

Most of you probably remember Casey Neistat’s videos about his flights on Emirates last year, which have a combined 60 million views on YouTube:

Well, taking inspiration from that, BuzzFeed published a hilarious video today that looks at three different popular airline products. This is a must-see. Here’s how the video is described:

Lifestyle, a spin off of BuzzFeed’s hit series Worth It, host Steven Lim and his buddies embark on a new adventure, setting out to try different experiences at three different price points: affordable, middle tier, and luxury–from airplane seats to cars to videos games. At the end of the episode, the gang decides which experience is the most “worth it” at its given price.

In this video they try JetBlue economy (a $139 ticket from Los Angeles to New York), Surf Air (a $1,950 per month membership club), and Singapore Suites (which they claim has a price tag of $24,000). Not only is this hilarious and great “airplane porn,” but what makes it interesting is that they’re supposed to come to a conclusion as to which experience was most “worth it,” taking into account the price tag. The results may be surprising.

Here’s the video, which is ~18 minutes long, but most definitely worth watching, if you have the time. As of now it’s the #1 trending video on YouTube today:

Fun video, but yea, as Pita Pie points out, on B6 they were in extra leg room seats, which are +$90 USD for JFK-LAX. It also overstates the price of Singapore Suites. You can fly one way JFK-FRA for $4960.

They are hawking about JetBlue legroom in coach... do they realize they are in "Even More Space" seats? Just a giant commercial, thanks Buzzfeed for the sponsored video.

    At 2:12: "Leather-padded belt?"

Is that what he really thinks it is? A "leather-padded belt?" Like, a luxury?

At 2:18 where Ben(?) is shoving his face/mouth into the headrest made me projectile/power-vomit all over my monitor. Like, he is literally eating previous passengers' head grease.

Other than that this video was fun, thanks for sharing. We'll be flying Singapore Suites in a couple of weeks and the video made me look even more forward to the experience.

Love their Worth It series and Steve Lim. Lot of good recommendations around LA at different price points, though I’m mostly interested in their cheap recs.

I got so annoyed when Ben talked about the flush being quieter on the A380. it was obviously because the plane was on the ground, and not because of some "flushing innovation".

I love how Ben (not Lucky :-D) is obsessed with the Mile High Club... I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't mind joining him...

I love how your Buzzfeed article has a Buzzfeed headline. Was that intentional?

Being European I have never flown JetBlue, but based on this video I'd really like to try. They seem like a really innovative and affordable airline. Always flown United in the states as I am Star Alliance Gold, but that's gonna change.
