Great Deal: Earn 10,000 Points Per Referral From Amex Everyday

In the interest of full disclosure, One Mile At A Time earns a referral bonus for anyone that’s approved through some of the below links. These are the best publicly available offers that we have found for each card. Please check out our advertiser policy for further details about the partners we work with. Thanks for your support!

The Amex EveryDay® Credit Card from American Express is one of the best beginner cards for those looking build their credit without paying an annual fee. It is a lot easier to get approved for this card as a beginner than the Chase Freedom® Card, for example, so it’s a good option for students and people without a long credit history.

One of the cool things that American Express does is that they let existing cardmembers refer others to many of their cards. While the referral bonus changes from time to time, when I signed up for the card the referral bonus was 5,000 points. Well, a few days back American Express raised the offer, meaning you now earn 10,000 points per referral, up to 55,000 points per year. You’ll want to log into the American Express refer-a-friend site to refer someone.

This is a great referral bonus for a card with no annual fee. If you sign up now and refer enough people, you can earn over 65,000 points before the end of the year. If you have some people to refer in mind, it may be worth signing up just for the referrals, given that the card has no annual fee.

Use your Membership Rewards Points for Singapore Suites.

The card offers 2x points at US supermarkets on the first $6,000 spent per year, plus 1x points on all other purchases. The added benefit is that you receive a 20% bonus at the end of each billing cycle when you have 20 or more transactions during that period, meaning you can earn up to 2.4x Membership Rewards points at supermarkets, and up to 1.2x points on other purchases. Lastly, this is also one of only a couple of no annual fee American Express cards to accrue Membership Rewards points, along with The Blue Business℠ Plus Credit Card from American Express.

Just to put this bonus into perspective, the referral bonus on the more Premier Rewards Gold Card from American Express (which has a $195 annual fee, though is waived the first year) is 10,000 points per referral too. If you already have the card, now is the time to tell your friends about it!

  1. whoever send referral link to friends will be deemed as cheap a-hole for sure–15k points through referral vs 35k pts through incognito link. Well, most point-collectors are super cheap anyway, so it is not a problem. LOL
