JetBlue TrueBlue members based in NYC can earn up to 6,000 bonus points for paid flights this summer.
The promotion is valid for itineraries to or from any of JetBlue’s four NYC area airports (JFK, LGA, EWR and HPN). Eligible members who register and fly by July 23, 2017, can earn the following number of bonus points:
- Fly one roundtrip flight (or 2 one-way flights) and earn 1,000 bonus points
- Fly a second roundtrip flight (or 2 more one-way flights) and earn an additional 2,000 bonus points
- Fly a third roundtrip flight (or 4 more one-way flights) and earn an additional 3,000 bonus points
While the promotion is valid for travel between May 25 and July 23, 2017, only travel booked after registering for the promotion is eligible. As you can see, travel to or from the above four airports is eligible, so there’s no need to originate in NYC to take advantage of this offer.
JetBlue points can typically be redeemed for ~1.5 cents each towards the cost of airfare on JetBlue, so you’re potentially looking at a return of ~$90 after three roundtrip flights. That doesn’t include the points you usually earn (6x points per dollar of airfare booked through jetblue.com, plus 6x points if paying with the JetBlue Plus Card, etc.).
This promotion alone is probably not a reason to book travel on JetBlue over another airline, though it’s a nice bonus if you plan on flying JetBlue anyway. JetBlue is one of my favorite airlines to fly domestically, given that they offer an economy experience that’s actually pleasant, unlike most of their competitors. This is just yet another bonus for flying with them.
