Get 20K Points For Referring Friends To A Great Business Credit Card

In the interest of full disclosure, One Mile At A Time earns a referral bonus for anyone that’s approved through some of the below links. These are the best publicly available offers that we have found for each card. Please check out our advertiser policy for further details about the partners we work with. Thanks for your support!

The Ink Business Preferred℠ Credit Card was just introduced last year (seemingly as a competitor to The Business Gold Rewards Card from American Express OPEN), and is one of the all around most compelling business cards. The card offers a sign-up bonus of 80,000 Ultimate Rewards points after spending $5,000 on purchases within the first three months of account opening. I consider that to be the single best credit card sign-up bonus out there at the moment.

The card also offers a great return on spend, as it offers triple points in the following categories:

  • Travel
  • Shipping purchases
  • Internet, cable and phone services
  • Advertising purchases made with social media sites and search engines

You earn triple points on the first $150,000 spent in combined purchases in the above categories each account anniversary year (which means they’re not using a January 1 through December 31 calendar, but rather it’s based on when you signed up).

On top of that, the card comes with perks like primary auto rental collision damage waiver coverage, trip cancellation and interruption insurance, and a fantastic cell phone protection benefit, just to name a few of the benefits.

In addition to the great sign-up bonus, for a limited time Chase is offering an increased referral bonus for cardmembers who refer their friends to the card. You can earn up to 20,000 bonus Ultimate Rewards points for each person you refer to the Ink Business Preferred℠ Credit Card, for a total of up to 100,000 bonus points after five referrals.

That’s a huge referral bonus, as typically Chase offers at most 5,000-10,000 points per referral. To refer a friend to this card, visit the Chase refer a friend website, where you’ll be asked to enter your last name, zip code, and the last four digits of your card, and then you’ll be able to generate referrals.

Personally I have the Ink Business Cash℠ Credit Card, which I love, though it doesn’t seem to have a referral bonus at the moment. Some with this card report being able to offer referrals for the Ink Business Preferred℠ Credit Card.

If you’re considering applying for either of these cards (or if you’re referring friends), keep in mind that these cards are subjected to Chase’s 5/24 rule, so you typically won’t be approved if you’ve opened more than five new accounts in the past 24 months.

Happy referring (and applying)!

  1. I have the Chase Ink Business Plus card only and am able to get the 20k bonus for the Chase Ink Business Preferred card. Any clue if I can get the bonus by referring myself?
