Enter Here To Win Hyatt’s New Globalist Status!

Today is March 1, which means that it’s the day that Hyatt is formally eliminating their Gold Passport loyalty program, and introducing World of Hyatt in its place. We’ve covered these changes in great detail here on the blog, as they’re both positive and negative.

But for now, I’m excited to be able to give away World of Hyatt Globalist status to one lucky reader.

Win Hyatt Globalist status!

To celebrate the new program, World of Hyatt is giving away Globalist status to a lucky OMAAT reader. That’s right, one of you can win Globalist status through February 2019 from Hyatt (that’s nearly two years of Globalist status).

The caveat is that benefits under the “More Rewards Await” section of hyatt.com/world (like the Category 1-7 free night, four suite upgrades, My Hyatt Concierge, and lowered nights requirement for the subsequent year) do not come with this gifted status, since those are only earned after 60 qualifying nights or 100,000 base points in a calendar year.

Otherwise, the winner will be eligible for perks like club access, breakfast, late check-out, and upgrades on arrival!

There are five ways you can enter to win, with each scoring you one entry (you must submit each entry through the Rafflecopter widget at the bottom of the post to be eligible):

  • Leave a comment on this blog post answering the question “Which Hyatt hotel would you most enjoy with Globalist status?”
  • Tweet about the giveaway, being sure to use hashtag #omaat
  • Follow @onemileatatime on Twitter
  • Follow @HyattTweets on Twitter
  • Visit One Mile at a Time on Facebook and like or comment on the Globalist giveaway post

Using the widget is easy — follow the instructions for each method, then click the blue button when you’ve commented, Tweeted, followed, or visited to ensure your entry is counted. If you don’t click the button for each option, I won’t be able to track your entries.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

At the end of the giveaway, all the entries will be combined, and the winner will be chosen via random.org.

The basic terms of the contest are as follows:

Open to OMAAT readers age 18 and older only, no geographic restrictions.

Giveaway ends March 8, 2017, at 11:59PM Pacific time.

Winner will be selected by random.org and be notified by email. Winners have 48 hours to respond before a new winner is chosen.

The winning prize provides for a complimentary year of Hyatt Globalist status in the new World of Hyatt program. Winner will be eligible for the perks and benefits listed at hyatt.com/world through February 2019.

Benefits under the “More Rewards Await” section (like the Catgory 1-7 free night, four suite upgrades, My Hyatt Concierge, and lowered nights requirement for the subsequent year) do not come with the prize status, since those are only earned after 60 qualifying nights or 100,000 Base Points in a calendar year.

Facebook and Twitter are in no way associated with this giveaway. By providing your information on this form, you are sharing it with me and me alone. I do not share or sell information, and will use any info only for the purpose of contacting the winners.

In the interest of full disclosure, I’m not being compensated by Hyatt for this in any way. They approached me and asked if I wanted to give away Globalist status to a reader, and of course I said yes.

Good luck, and remember to track your entries using the widget!

  1. Hi Lucky,

If fortune follows your moniker, then I would love to stay at the Park Hyatt Dubai.

Your write up of the property evokes mystery, wonder, discovery in a land shrouded in history that I have never visited but is #1 on my bucket list.

    Thanks for the chance.

  14. I have previously stayed at Park Hyatt Dubai — and it was such a pleasure. And so with a globalist status, I would certainly try to visit again.

  15. Park Hyatt Sydney. I’d love to have a super limited top tier status, which doesn’t include all the most valuable benefits, at a chain I would never stay at enough to keep it!

  16. I’m sure they’re all amazing, but since Scarlett Johansson is my absolute star crush, I would like to be lost in Tokyo one day as well. Bill Murray sitting at the bar with a glass of whiskey, I wish that was me…

  17. I’m sure the hotel I would like to stay at is one I can’t afford! I typically stay at Category 1 or 2 properties. Nicest so far are the various Hyatt Regencies where I typically stay for points (Austin, Houston, Tulsa).

  18. Definitely the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek during peak season. Not having to pay the resort fee, late checkout and the potential of an upgrade would all be fantastic.

  22. PH Maldives. Breakfast benefits, Sundowners, and possible upgrade to Pool Villa make this one of my favorite properties as a Diamond/Globalist.

  23. Park Hyatt Vendome! Sadly there’s not one in London we could stay at during our upcoming honeymoon.

  24. I would say Park hyatt maldives, but still love the breakfast at park hyatt saigon the best

  25. Wow, so many Park Hyatt Tokyos. That would be my choice as well, since I’m taking my first trip to Asia this December and I need a place to stay. Closer to home, I like the Inner Harbor location in Baltimore for a quick romantic weekend get away. Try their strawberry yogurt, which apparently is made in house and is delicious.

  26. I would stay at the Park Hyatt Beijing. Have been to Beijing once, but would really like to return, so I could eat my way through all the good restaurants.

  27. Park Hyatt Vendome because Paris breakfast for two is well over 100. It’s better to fill up your bellies for a day of sightseeing!
Paris is an expensive city so this would allow us spending money to commemorate our trip!

  28. Haven’t been to Sydney yet. An upgrade at the Park Hyatt to a room with a view of the opera house would be fantastic.

  29. With Globalist status I would most enjoy the Andaz Papagayo resort in Costa Rica. It has fantastic suites and an absolutely incredible breakfast buffet. 🙂
