Kim Jong-Un’s Half Brother Assassinated At Kuala Lumpur Airport

Well, we’ve certainly seen some airport “attacks” over the past few years, though nothing quite like this. The older half brother of North Korea’s Supreme Leader, Kim Jong-un, was assassinated at Kuala Lumpur Airport this past Monday, while waiting for a flight to Macau. Per the New York Times:

He seemed like an ordinary passenger in the departure hall of the airport for Malaysia’s capital, awaiting a four-hour flight to Macau. Moments later, he felt dizzy and was carried out on a stretcher, apparently dying from poisoned-needle punctures or perhaps a toxic liquid splashed on his face by two women who ran away.

The ruckus caused by the man’s death on Monday at the international airport for Kuala Lumpur was minor news until a thunderbolt from the South Korean and Malaysian news media a day later: The victim was Kim Jong-nam, 45, the estranged older half brother of Kim Jong-un, the unpredictable and ruthless leader of North Korea.

Apparently two women stabbed Kim Jong-nam with poisoned needles in the departure hall of the airport, and then fled in a taxi. He sought help after someone “grabbed him from behind and splashed liquid in his face,” and died as he was rushed to the hospital.

Obviously there’s all kinds of speculation as to how and why this happened. The New York Times shares the following speculation:

Political experts on North Korea’s politics immediately speculated that Kim Jong-un had ordered the assassination of his older half sibling, who at one time had been the heir apparent and had been favored by China, the country’s ally and principal benefactor.

Others were even more emphatic in their suspicion that Kim Jong-un had been responsible, partly because Kim Jong-nam had been publicly critical of the transfer of power that made Kim Jong-un the top leader after the death of their father, Kim Jong-il, in 2011.

Only time will tell, I suppose. Or hell, who am I kidding — since North Korea is involved, we’ll probably never know…

  1. @Anon I am visiting North Korea in October. I would be happy to do a Lucky-style review that he could guest post if he is too shy to fly Air Koryo.

  2. This not significant and not much of an issue. For all his bluster and barking, the incompetent orange alien would kiss the ass of the spoilt north Korean man child. Notice, not a peep since the missile test. The bully is only good with his twitter, which he uses while sitting on the shitpot for a few hours everyday.

Sam Chui has a few reviews for that airline on his YouTube channel. He doesn’t look so healthy in his latest upload on SQ in 1st.

As for this story…..Interesting, no surveillance footage released by KUL? Not one camera? Hard to believe….TMZ can’t get it? I’m wondering why there are conflicting stories as well:

    – 1 story is 2 girls attacked him with needles, then both fled.
    – Another story claims just one bimbo dowsed his face with a cloth over his head, then took off.
    – Another says the Disney dude fled in a taxi himself
    – Another says he went to a KUL customer service rep who got him an ambulance.

I’ll bet this “ass”assination was against his little fatty half-bro leader in NK, and not by Un and his goon squad. Too many conflicting stories after a big missile launch by the young cheese eating fatso—-me thinks someone is out to get Un, and took out his bro as a warning.

  5. @Melissa: not one single mention of “the creature Barack INSANE Obama” in your post? You’re losing your edge. Don’t bother posting any more. Pffft.

  6. Adding to what Credit said earlier, how about some cojones from this administration about Putin deploying missiles in violation of a treaty.

This illegitimate administration and its uneducated, ignorant basket of deplorables are the real threat to America.

  7. @Credit and CJ
You’re both in denial. You never called out your boy Obama for his empty line in the sand threats, leading from behind, retreating from ME thus creating the vacuum thag ISIS filled, bowing to Saudi King, his broken reset buton with Russia etc etc etc.

First it’s that Trump is a bully, now not strong enough. Make up your mind. In the meantime, Im sure protesting, rioting and looting will sooth your primitive leftist victimhood and identity politics-driven minds.

  8. To Credit and CJ
I see you both are still hurting. Now you know how the silent MAJORITY felt for 8 years.
    Let’s see—Nov. 8–Dec. 8–Jan.8—Feb.8—–still hurting inside…WOW !
Get over it. The adults are in charge now.
Before this Administration is over you will be singing the praises of Daddy Donald. Now, it can be hard
because you were never hurt on school playground before. Trump will make America, America again.
The vets who paid for your freedom with their life would roll over in their graves if they could see what
has become of their country. People parading around about things they would be embarrassed to even talk about. We in USA have been given a reprieve for a while. If the silent majority does not stand up this time then effects of Sodom will happen in the future.

  9. @WR Very well done with the Trumpbart buzzwords, but you forgot to mention Benghazi.

@Sanjay LOL you put “majority” in all caps but he lost the popular vote by 3 million. LOLOL

  10. Hi Ben,
KLIA2 is by far one of the most bizarre airports in the world and you should try to go through it! It is a standalone big ass, US$1.3b terminal built in 2014 but shares the same runways with KLIA. It is also the hub of Air Asia (times must be hard for Kim to have to fly budget) and other LCCs.

While KLIA2 is huge, it is poorly designed.. I would say it is 80% mall and 20% airport.

Arrival: Woe to you if you are parked at the far end of the terminal for it can take a good 30 min hike to get from one end to immigration. The immigration queue is poorly organised and can take up to 1.5 hours to clear. After collecting your bags be prepared to hike for another 10-15 mins, through a glitzy mall to the far end basement of the terminal to get to the taxi stand or express train station.

Departure: You are greeted by the glitzy mall upon arriving at the airport but once you navigate the full length of the mall to get to the actual airport and past the immigration counter, the gate hold rooms are small and dingy and dark, F&B options severely limited and nothing like what you left behind at the mall.

I hate it so much that I have stopped flying airlines that use KLIA2 on my regular trips there. However it is an experience that you should try!

  11. And this related to points & miles in what way? I understand Ford is expensive in terms of maintenance, and that your revenue from referrals is drying – but still…

  12. @Credit and CJ,

We know you are pissed off now that the adults are in charge and you finally have to move out of your moms basement and get jobs. Grow up and get over it.

  13. Baffling that you trolls think this assassination has anything to do with who is sitting the White House.

    Find a new hobby.
