The past few months we’ve seen a lot of increased credit card sign-up bonuses. The card issuers are really getting competitive, both in terms of sign-up bonuses and in terms of perks. So I figured I’d use this post to recap some of the increased card sign-up bonuses we’re seeing, some of which are expiring soon. In no particular order, here are some of them:

A sign-up bonus worth up to ~$2,000 in travel

The card has a $450 annual fee, though comes with all kinds of perks that help offset it, including a $200 annual airline fee credit10 Gogo passesaccess to Delta SkyClubs, access to Amex Centurion Lounges, and much more. Up to ~$525 in travel

The Barclaycard Arrival Plus™ World Elite MasterCard® is offering a sign-up bonus of 50,000 bonus miles when you spend $3,000 within the first 90 days. The usual bonus on this card is 40,000 miles upon completing minimum spend, so that’s 25% better than usual. The card has an $89 annual fee, though it’s waived the first year. This sign-up bonus will get you ~$525 towards virtually any travel purchase, which is great.

80,000 bonus points on a new business card

The Ink Business Preferred℠ Credit Card is Chase’s newest business credit card, and it’s compelling. For one, it’s offering a sign-up bonus of 80,000 bonus Ultimate Rewards points after spending $5,000 within three months, which is a huge bonus.

On top of that, the card is extremely valuable long term. It offers triple points on the first $150,000 spent in combined purchases on travel, shipping purchases, internet, cable, phone services, and advertising purchases made with social media sites and search engines, for each account anniversary year. It also comes with benefits like cell phone protection, primary collision damage waiver coverage, and more.

30K points on a no annual fee business card

The Ink Business Cash℠ Credit Card is offering a sign-up bonus of $300 bonus cash back after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first three months. While this is technically a cashback card, in conjunction with the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card or Ink Business Cash℠ Credit Card those points can be converted into “premium” Ultimate Rewards points. This is one of the most compelling no annual fee business credit cards out there.

50,000 American miles and no annual fee the first year

The Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Elite™ Mastercard® and CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Mastercard® are each offering a sign-up bonus of 50,000 AAdvantage miles after making $3,000 of purchases within the first three months.

Both cards have a $95 annual fee, which is waived the first year.

$500 in Amazon gift cards or $700+ in Southwest travel

Southwest is offering a sign-up bonus of 50,000 Rapid Rewards points on the Southwest Rapid Rewards® Plus Credit Card. While they sometimes offer a higher bonus on their premium card, it’s rare to see them offer a 50,000 point bonus on the Plus version of the card, which has just a $69 annual fee.

At a minimum those points can be redeemed for $500 worth of Amazon gift cards, or otherwise for $700+ worth of travel on Southwest.

50K Amex points with no fee the first year

The Business Gold Rewards Card from American Express OPEN is offering a sign-up bonus of 50,000 Membership Rewards points after spending $5,000 in purchases on the card within your first three months, with the $195 annual fee waived the first year. This is a fantastic business credit card with great bonus categories, so could be worth holding onto long term.

See this post for more details on the offer.

Bottom line

There are a lot of incredible credit card sign-up bonuses at the moment, so I’d highly recommend applying for some cards right now if you can. Not only do many of these cards have great sign-up bonuses, but a lot of these cards also offer great long term perks that more than justify the annual fee.
