Here’s a great deal for readers on the other side of the Atlantic who are oneworld loyalists (or crazy people on this side of the Atlantic who are willing to position themselves). 😉
Premium fares in the New York to Paris market have been driven down by La Compagnie, the discounted all business class airline flying between the two cities.
Well, at the moment oneworld airlines are offering especially good business class fares when flying roundtrip from Paris to New York. Roundtrip tickets are available for just ~$1,300. The basic details are as follows:
- Travel is permitted April 1 through April 17, July 1 through August 31, November 22 through November 29, or December 18 through January 2
- A Sunday night minimum stay is required
- The same fare isn’t available if originating in New York
- The best place to start your search is going to be on Google Flights
So this is great for those planning summer and holiday travel. On most dates there seems to be availability on both American and OpenSkies.
Personally I’d be curious to try OpenSkies again, which is British Airways’ subsidiary operating between Paris and New York (I’m not actually convinced they’re better than American, but I’d just be curious).
In business class OpenSkies has fully flat beds. Nowadays OpenSkies operates both 757s and, as of recently, 767s — the former are in a 2-2 configuration, while the latter are in a 2-2-2 configuration.
While La Compagnie has fares in a similar range, I’m guessing most people will prefer this, given that both American and OpenSkies have fully flat beds, and that this is also an opportunity to earn miles with any oneworld carrier.
Anyone considering taking advantage of one of these great oneworld transatlantic business class fares?
