Jetblue Plus Card

Jetblue Plus Card

I’m thinking of getting the Jetblue Plus card due to the bonus of 60,000 points.

In the terms and conditions for the spending bonus it says:

“This one-time bonus points offer is valid for first-time cardmembers with new accounts only. Existing cardmembers and existing accounts are not eligible for this offer.”

Does this mean that Barclay is taking an approach similar to Amex and that I won’t be able to close the card and reapply a couple years later?

It sounds like you wouldn’t be able to get it again in a couple of years. But maybe several years down the line they’d no longer have visibility to the fact that you once had the card. But yeah, it does sound a good bit like Amex’s “once in a lifetime” clause.
