Marriott late checkout guarantee
Recently I run into an issue with late checkout at Townplace Suites at Champaign, a Marriott property. The hotel manager told me the late check-out is not guaranteed but subject to availability. I am a Gold member. I recall that you have discussed this and found that the late checkout is guaranteed except at resort or convention hotels. Whom to contact at Marriott to get a clear answer of their guaranteed benefit? It is frustrating to see that each hotel does differently.
My recommendation is that you write to Marriott Customer Service FROM YOUR ACCOUNT, and then either just save a screenshot of their answer on your smartphone, or print the email out and show it to the hotel if they do not want to honor this perk. It worked for me in the past.
