“Non-Transferable” Movie Trailer — You’ll Want To See This!

One of the most intriguing travel stories of last year has to be the Canadian guy who broke up with his girlfriend after having booked a round the world trip for the couple. Since tickets are non-transferable and don’t allow name changes, he set out to find another girl with the same name to take on the trip with him.

Amazingly enough he found someone with the same name to take on the trip. After the trip we even got to find out how it all went — they had quite some fun, surprisingly.

Well, it appears the story was interesting enough to be the basis of a movie, entitled Non-Transferable.” The movie is co-branded by Turkish Airlines. A trailer is now out, and the movie itself will be available through various platforms on Valentine’s Day 2016.

Here’s the description of the movie:

A romantic comedy for the millennial generation, Non-Transferable follows the adventure of Amy Tyler, who books a surprise vacation for her boyfriend, Josh Merit. But when he breaks up with her on their anniversary, Amy is stuck with non-transferable tickets in his name. Stuck in a difficult situation, Amy’s friends suggest if she can’t change the tickets… why not change the guy?

Pack your bags for a breathtaking international adventure co-branded by Turkish Airlines and VIP Tourism as two strangers find out if love can be transferred to someone new.

As you can see, the story is sort of reversed compared to the real-life one from last year. In the real-life version the guy found a girl to travel with him, while in this instance the girl finds a guy to travel with him.

Here’s the trailer for the movie:

Okay, so perhaps it’s not the highest budget movie ever, but I’ll be watching it since it’s travel themed.

Do you plan on watching “Non-Transferable?”

  1. @Sice I’d rather stare at the back of my seat for 13 hours from SFO-IST than subject myself to even 10 minutes of this. It seriously looks that awful. It looks like it’s supposed to be a “Scary Movie”-esque parody of… something… with purposefully bad acting.

  2. OMG! I don`t know what`s wrong with people, but I totally loved it. So much better if I manage to watch is on my way to Asia.

    Awesome.

Guys, life`s not only about fine french movies. Let`s have some fun every now and then ok?

  3. Happen to be reading this on TK79 from IST to SFO, while enjoying the fime hospitality. Biz class is also full of cute girls rather than just old guys as would be found on a US airline. I see why the Turks warmed to it.

  4. WHY would ANYONE see a movie from the same guys who brought you, “We are globally yours…”? I expect it to be not just bad, but harrowing.

  5. This will be one of those “guilty pleasure,” awful movies that I’ll watch in my pajamas at home with the curtains drawn. No one will ever, ever know….

  6. I’d watch it on Amazon Prime. Probably not waste time in a theater–if it makes it to one. But really, it’s not THAT bad.

    Cynical young males….tsk, tsk, tsk.
