For those of you who still care about Club Carlson Gold Points (which I think you should), they’ve just announced a promotion whereby you can receive 20,000 bonus Gold Points for a stay of five or more consecutive nights between now and July 31, 2015. The promotion is available exclusively for elite members, and registration isn’t required.
Here are the full terms of the promotion:
The Stay 5+ Earn 20k Points Promotion (“Promotion”) is valid for 20,000 bonus Gold Points (“Bonus Points”) on the first Eligible Stay of five or more consecutive days booked and completed between June 8, 2015 and July 31, 2015. You must be a Club Carlson Elite member at the time of reservation to participate in the Promotion. “Eligible Stay” is defined in the Club Carlson Terms and Conditions. Stays paid for using Points + Cash are not eligible for this Promotion. Bonus Points will be credited when the standard Gold Points are credited for the Eligible Stay. Club Carlson reserves the right to add, modify, or discontinue the Promotion with or without notice. Void where prohibited by law. By participating in this Promotion, you agree and consent to these Terms and Conditions and the Club Carlson terms and conditions.
Admittedly Club Carlson’s program isn’t as valuable as it once was, given the two major program devaluations they made earlier this month:
- The second night free benefit was eliminated on Club Carlson’s co-branded credit card
- The cost of redemptions at many of Club Carlson’s top hotels increased, due to some award category adjustments
So the program was no doubt too good to be true. Not only were redemption costs artificially low for those with their co-branded credit card, but the points earnings potential were also extremely high, given the number of simultaneous promotions Club Carlson runs.
As Travis outlined a short while back, Club Carlson has a lot of promotions which can still be stacked for stays this summer, and this promotion is yet another one of those. While the value of the Club Carlson program isn’t as much as it was, it’s still one of the more generous programs out there, in my opinion.
Do you plan on staying at any Club Carlson properties this summer?
