Club Carlson sent out an email to elite members of their program today, offering 5,000 bonus Gold Points when you make a booking through their iPhone or Android app by April 5, 2015, and complete your stay anytime in April.
The email reads as follows:
As an Elite member, we know you’re busy, and we want to help make life a little simpler. The Club CarlsonSM mobile app for iPhone or Android makes life on the go a breeze. Give it a try this week and we’ll give you 5,000 bonus Gold Points®. Just book on the app by April 5 and complete your stay anytime in April. You’ll see a gift of 5,000 points in your account up to 10 days after checkout.
Plus, be sure to opt in to receive Push Notifications to gain access to exclusive offers and deals available only to Club Carlson mobile app users.
The promotion can only be earned once per member, and you must check-out by April 30, 2015. An eligible stay is defined as one which is Gold Points-eligible (Points + Cash stays are not eligible). Bonus points should post within 10 days of the eligible stay.
As usual, Club Carlson seems to be the gift that keeps on giving. The Club Carlson Premier Rewards Visa Signature® Card is one of the most lucrative hotel credit cards out there:
- You receive a 40,000 point bonus on your account anniversary every year
- You receive Club Carlson Gold status for as long as you have the card, which is what made me eligible for this promotion
- Most valuable is that the second night of every award redemption is free, meaning you can potentially double the value of your points in conjunction with the card
On top of that, Club Carlson is basically paying you to stay at their hotels between all the lucrative promotions they’ve been offering. Earlier in the month I wrote about how it was possible to earn over 100,000 Club Carlson Gold Points for a stay that cost less than $450, which is just ridiculously lucrative.
I value Club Carlson points at ~0.4 cents each (potentially double that in conjunction with the Club Carlson Premier Rewards Visa Signature® Card), so this promotion could offer an additional return of $20-40 for a Club Carlson stay. Just remember that you have to be an elite member in order to be eligible.
