IHG 50% Off Las Vegas Promotion Now Live

Yesterday I posted about the promotion that IHG Rewards Club is offering today for stays in Las Vegas. Through this flash sale, IHG Rewards Club is offering 50% off IHG Rewards Club redemptions at The Venetian and The Palazzo.

The basic details of the promotion are as follows:

  • Valid for 24 hours, starting at 12PM ET, Tuesday, March 10, 2015
  • Valid for stays between March 10 and December 28, 2015

While the sale was only supposed to go live at 12PM ET today, it started early.

Both of these hotels can be booked for 25,000 IHG Rewards Club points per night.

As a refresher, the following blackout dates apply:

3/25/2015, 3/26/2015, 3/27/2015, 4/14/2015, 4/15/2015, 5/3/2015, 5/18/2015, 5/19/2015, 5/23/2015, 5/24/2015, 5/29/2015, 5/30/2015, 6/19/2015, 6/20/2015, 8/17/2015, 9/5/2015, 9/18/2015, 9/19/2015, 9/28/2015, 9/29/2015, 10/6/2015, 10/7/2015, 11/2/2015, 11/3/2015, 11/4/2015

As I explained yesterday, you can generate IHG Rewards Club points for 0.7 cents each, meaning it would cost you $175 to generate 25,000 points. That’s less than half the cost of what these hotels are charging some weekends.

Aside from the blackout dates award availability is excellent across the board, though I’d still lock in these stays sooner rather than later.

Do you plan on making a booking using the IHG Rewards Club 50% off Las Vegas flash sale?

  1. Thanks for the heads up on this going live, Ben. I was able to snag a weekend at the Palazzo in April when paid rates would be $250+ a night. Great use of 50,000 IHG points. Had never paid any mind to IHG until I had a long stay at the IC Stephen F. Austin last year and then played the Into The Nights promo for 2 free nights that I’ll use at IC HK later this year. I’ve found almost no elite recognition to speak of but there are some really good uses for their points, which are easy to come by. Was able to do 4 nights at the CP Jerusalem in November on Points Breaks and found that even though the hotel was a step down from a run-of-the-mill Sheraton/Hilton/Marriott, for 20,000 points total when paid rates were $179 a night, it was one of the all-time great hotel redemptions I’ve ever had. I also picked up the Chase CC during the promo and agree with your post from yesterday, its a no-brainer long-term for $49 a year. Only time I ever use it is during an IHG stay but it’s still nice to keep. Thanks again!
