Schedule Posted For April’s Dallas Frequent Traveler University

For those of you not familiar with Frequent Traveler University, it’s a series of events intended to share the intricacies of the miles and points hobby. The next major one will be held at the Hyatt Regency DFW April 17-19, 2015 (that’s my birthday weekend, by the way… thanks to whoever decided on that!). 😉

From the event organizers:

Frequent Traveler University is heading south to Texas. Join us at the Hyatt Regency DFW Airport on April 17-19, 2015. We’ll have amazing educational sessions, great networking, and plenty of friendly Texan hospitality. Learn how to earn elite status quickly, book cheaper tickets, find the best redemptions, and navigate the world of miles and points.

I’ve posted about the event before, though there are a couple of major updates:

I’ll be presenting on the following topics:

  • Saturday 1PM: Award Redemptions 1
  • Sunday 10:30AM: Award Redemptions 2
  • Sunday 4PM: Where We’ve Been And Where We’re Going (the answer to both of those is like the bar/American Express Centurion Lounge) 😉

I’ll also be presenting at FTU Advanced, though that’s already sold out.

This event is in Dallas, so should be fairly easy for most people to get to, regardless of which part of the US you’re originating in. Furthermore, given that Dallas is home to my favorite American Express Centurion Lounge, something tells me we may be taking the place over before and after the event. 😉

As I’ve always said, I think this event is just as much (if not more) about networking with other frequent flyers as it is about the actual sessions. Everyone should hopefully pick up a few tricks in the sessions (if you’re new you’ll hopefully pick up a ton of info), but advanced people will likely learn even more during the breakout sessions, during lunch, at the bar, etc.

Anyway, hope to see lots of you there!

  1. Hi Lucky,

I’m under 21 and am hoping to attend Dallas FTU. Is there any reason I would not be able to go because of my age?

  2. Joseph you can attend FTU. I have met many younger fliers at FTUS even though the crowd tends to be a little older. You are welcomed! I will be attending this one but frankly I saw little difference in the advanced sessions from the other sessions. I like the networking and that is where I pick up new ideas etc.

  3. This will be my first FTU! Admittedly, I’m an introvert and am intimidated by anything involving networking, but I think the sessions will be great!

  4. First FTU. Just collected 80,000 points from new credit card, what do I do next? I would love to learn how to use points to purchase first airline reward ticket. New to the world of flying with points.
