50% Off Virgin America First Class Tickets

As I’ve written about a countless number of times before, airfare has been way up the past couple of years as a result of consolidation and an improved global economy. One interesting result of this is that we’ve seen the gap between economy and first class fares narrow quite a bit. In many cases first and business class fares have actually decreased, to the point that they’re almost similarly priced to economy.

Anyway, Virgin America is an airline that seems to run quite a few promotions offering discounts on First Class and Main Cabin Select, and they’re back with another one of those promotions for the holidays.

Virgin America is offering 50% off First Class and Main Cabin Select fares booked by 11:59PM PT on Sunday, December 14, 2014, and for travel between December 19, 2014, and January 2, 2015. Simple use promo code MERRY50 at the time of booking.

This promotion actually makes First Class cheaper than Main Cabin in many markets. For example, between San Francisco and Los Angeles the Main Cabin fare is $193, while the First Class fare is $128:

So if you haven’t yet booked your domestic holiday travel, it might be worth checking out Virgin America, and giving their First Class or Main Cabin Select a shot.
