There have been several updates to the Chase Ultimate Rewards program over the few months, one of which is to the user interface for the Ultimate Rewards website.
The new site is supposed to be cleaner and more accessible for mobile and tablets, and those with the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card will see the new skin when they log in to that account.
I know exactly nothing about web design, so won’t speak to whether or not this is pretty, but these updates do at least seem useful.
Your points balances and recent activity are displayed prominently, and I really like the breakdown of how many points have been earned in which categories.
You can also click on the “See more activity” button to get a breakdown of spending:
I really appreciate being able to see whether or not each transaction accrued bonus points. The old site had a summary option which was helpful, but it wasn’t quite as prominent.
The Ultimate Rewards Mall has been renamed, and the “Shop through Chase” program is given a bit more real estate. The main page has a bigger “teaser” with a selection of the participating retailers:
And recent earnings activity is displayed on the homepage as well:
For comparison, the Ink and Freedom cards still have the old interface:
Anyways, nothing tremendously exciting, but I received a few messages asking me about it, so thought I’d share. Hopefully it expands to the other Ultimate Rewards cards soon, as having multiple interfaces doesn’t seem ideal.
