In what is quickly turning into a saga, it looks like the Citi Executive AAdvantage Card 100K sign-up bonus is once again dead.

For those of you not keeping tabs, the best sign-up bonus of the year has been the 100,000 mile sign-up bonus offered by the Citi Executive AAdvantage Card, which was surprisingly available for almost six months. Then in late June the offer was officially pulled, though there continued to be a “ghost” link out there for the 100,000 mile offer. Then late last week it looked like even the “ghost” link was dead… except it wasn’t, because the “ghost” link started working again a couple of days later.

And now it appears that the “ghost” link is dead once again, as it returns the following error message:

A system error has caused a delay in processing your application. Please try again later.

So is it really, really dead, or is it just dead in the same way it has been before, and will return again soon? Only time will tell.

In the meantime, this FlyerTalk thread is the best place to keep tabs on the status of the offer.

The best available offer on the Citi Executive AAdvantage Card is now for 75,000 AAdvantage miles after spending $7,500 within three months.

  1. Lucky,
Not to beat a dead horse but…
I applied for the citi Executive World Elite Mastercard using the link you provided and although I got the system error message, today on my doorstep was a UPS envelope with my new card. When I called to inquire as to the terms-it was for 100K after a $10K spend AND the $200 statement credit.
